This tutorial is one of a set of videos created while filming a documentary in Amman Jordan at the Tall al-​​Umayri dig site. There were a total of nine videos created and they are being used as an aid to train new workers at the site.

A total of 10 instructional videos, including this one were produced to create a series. They were created in a modular fashion so instructors can select the videos they feel are most appropriate or useful for their audience.  We’ve posted another video from this series on the subject of archaeological sifting.
