A Midsummer Night’s Dream Score

Mechan Media mem­ber Ryan Sturges cre­ated an orig­i­nal score for A Mid­sum­mer Night’s Dream, put on by Walla Walla Uni­ver­sity Drama.

Ryan served as sound designer/​engineer for the pro­duc­tion and cre­ated the score, includ­ing ambi­ent pieces for atmos­phere dur­ing scene changes and more upbeat pieces to which chore­o­graphed dance was performed.

EWB Gala Success

Last night the Engi­neers With­out Bor­ders — Walla Walla Uni­ver­sity held their annual fundrais­ing gala.  Their tar­get was $15,000 and they man­aged to raise over $16,000!

As a part of the main pre­sen­ta­tion, Mechan Media pre­sented a video for the event that updated the atten­dees on the project and gave back­ground infor­ma­tion about the orga­ni­za­tion and the impact it has on stu­dents.  The video was very well received and gar­nered a lot of pos­i­tive feed­back.  Pend­ing a few more small tweaks and a very long encode process, we plan to have the video posted in our port­fo­lio in a few days.
